Not getting enough meetings from LinkedIn? Here's why

Sep 02, 2025

If you’re doing LinkedIn outreach, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be getting meetings booked.

So if you’re not, it’s usually because of one of these 5 reasons:

1. Lack of volume with your initial outreach

You’re not reaching enough people. Outreach is a numbers game, so the more people you reach out to, the luckier you get.

The fix? Send at least 800 invites (27/day for a month). If this doesn’t work, move on to #2 below

2. Lack of volume with your follow ups

Most prospects won’t reply to the first message - not from lack of interest, but because they’re busy.

The fix? Send 1–2 short, relevant follow-ups over a few weeks. Persistence (done right) is a game-changer. If this doesn't work, move on to #3 below.

3. Wrong audience

You’re targeting people who don’t need what you offer. Rejection is normal (expect 60–75% of people to say no), but not everyone should be saying no.

The fix? Take some time to think about the group of people you're reaching out to. Can you actually help them? Do you have something in common with them? If this doesn't work, move on to #4 below.

4. Weak messaging

Even with the right audience, if you have weak messaging, you'll come across as pushy, desperate, or annoying. For example, if you talk about yourself too much or pitch immediately, prospects tune out.

The fix? Make the conversation almost entirely about them and ask open-ended questions to get them to open up & talk with you more. If this doesn't work, move on to #5 below.

5. Poor branding

If you are...

  • doing enough outreach
  • reaching out to the right people
  • and asking them the right questions

...but your prospects aren't booking a meeting, it's because your prospects don't take you seriously when they look at your profile. They don't see you as credible enough.

The fix? Model your profile off of another quality profile. If you're a financial advisor, you can model yours off of Thomas Kopelman's
, Ariel Lee's, or Mando Sallavanti's. If you're any other professional, feel free to use my profile as a starting point. I'm no branding expert, but I've spent a good amount of time on my LinkedIn profile, so I'm sure it'll help.

If you’re sure you’ve nailed all five above, it likely comes down to two other things:

  1. It could be a timing issue. In that case, ask prospects when a better time would be, then circle back when they say they’re ready.
  2. There might be something wrong with your scheduling link. Ex: broken link, you're asking too many questions in your form, etc and prospects are dropping off. If that's the case, checkout iClosed - it'll help you capture those leads so they aren't lost forever.

PS - if you don't know anything about me, I've sent 45,000+ invites on LinkedIn and have booked over 1,000 intro/demo calls, so if you’re not booking meetings from LinkedIn outreach, I can almost assure you it's because of one of these reasons. If you still feel stuck, feel free to shoot me a message.
